Dossier Originals was born out of a desire to craft something entirely our own: harmonious, distinctively unique scents created right at home in Dossier Creative Lab.
Smell Session Secrets: The Dossier Originals Icons Collection Origin Story
While all of our Originals are uniquely ideated for and by Dossier’s team of perfume experts, we couldn’t help but recognize the clear standouts after crafting over 100 (!!) designer-inspired scents. Certain Impressions blends and notes have become clear cult-favorites and modern classics in their own right. Some might even call them Iconic.
Enter: the Dossier Icons Collection. Our mission was simple: to draw inspiration from our best-selling, most-loved notes and use them as smell session inspiration in the Dossier Creative Lab. We spent some time experimenting with different olfactive combinations. Then, crafted entirely new blends that our perfumers like to call “magic recipes.” Because, well, they kind of are a form of scent sorcery.
Now, these fragrances are ones that customers return to time and again, drawn in by their elegance, emotive connections, and singularly timeless appeal. We knew this formula of craftsmanship would resonate, but we could have never predicted what it would become—and now, three collections of Icons later, we’ve created some of our best and most memorable Dossier perfumes ever.

Let’s look back at the first edition of the Dossier Icons Collection—the inaugural line that started it all. Slice of Heaven, Zest for Life, and Fruits of Love debuted as a trio of premium, imaginative blends that let our best-selling notes sing.

Call Me Vanilla

For the launch campaign, Dossier collaborated with the style icon and musician, Landon Barker, social media maven Golloria George, TikTok’s fashion and beauty icon Yesly Dimate, and entrepreneur Ken Eurich.

As for the scent? It’s a warm, spicy blend of ginger, cardamom, smoky incense, violet, and creamy musks. So, It Factor has earned its front-runner status as the Icon Collection’s most complimented perfume.
And it’s gone VIRAL on social media, thanks to head-turning scent, star power backing, and a combination of 2025’s most popular perfume notes.

Then, our team of perfume experts reimagine them into something entirely new and iconic to craft our most premium Dossier Originals.
By carefully selecting the highest quality raw materials, often hand-sourced for their distinction, our experts in Grasse, France, crafted innovative, imaginative blends that honor a new kind of olfactory journey. Each Icons Collection is layered with deep technical expertise and creative intuition—a masterful blend of structure and surprise. The result: a collection of scents that resonate and linger long after they’ve left the bottle.
Each collection is formulated by a team of expert perfumers and an evaluator—better known in the olfactory world as a “nose”—to formulate these considered blends. Not unlike an artist’s “Greatest Hits” album, these scents represent the newest and harmonious combinations that would become our most noteworthy fragrance blends yet.
